You Were Never Meant to Do Life Alone.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer… They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.

— Acts 2:42–46

Why Community Matters

From the very beginning, God declared that it is not good for man to be alone. The Christian life was never designed to be lived in isolation — it flourishes in community. The early church did not just meet on Sundays; they did life together, shared their homes, prayed for one another, and carried each other's burdens every single day. At Royal Calvary Temple International, we deeply believe that belonging to a large church family should never mean you feel like a face in the crowd. Every person deserves to be known by name, checked on in hard seasons, and celebrated in good ones. That is the heartbeat of our community culture. Community is where your faith is tested in real life. It is where accountability happens naturally. It is where the person sitting next to you prays you through a crisis you have not yet told anyone about. It is where discipleship moves from a classroom to a kitchen table.

What Are Home Cells?

Home Cells are the lifeblood of our community life. They are small groups of 8–15 people who meet regularly in each other’s homes — to study the Word, pray together, share life, and support one another.

Unlike a Sunday service, a Home Cell is intimate. There is space to ask the question you were afraid to ask in church. There is room to admit you are struggling. There is a table to share a meal and laugh together. There is a group of people who notice when you are missing and come looking for you.

What Happens in a Home Cell?

The Word

Each gathering is anchored in Scripture — often building on the previous Sunday's sermon. Discussion is real, questions are welcomed, and application is the goal.

Prayer

We pray for each other by name, for our families, our city, and our nation. Home Cells are the prayer engine of the church — where intercession happens up close.

Fellowship

Community is built over shared meals and honest conversation. Home Cells create the kind of friendship that carries you through life's most demanding moments.

Outreach

Every Home Cell is positioned to reach its immediate neighbourhood. We believe the most effective evangelism is a changed life visible to those who live around you.

We Have Home Cells Across the City

Royal Calvary Temple International has multiple active Home Cells meeting across different neighbourhoods in and around Nairobi. Whether you live near Outering Road or further across the city, there is very likely a Home Cell close to you. We are also always planting new cells. If you have a heart for your neighbourhood and want to open your home, we will walk with you in starting one.
