HISTORY OF OUTERING CHURCH

The Lord Graciously led us to write to the Director of DRIVE-IN development, to donate a piece of land for the purpose of building a church and any other facility to help the surrounding communities. The director was so gracious to the Church that he willingly donated 1.8 Acres/1h. We are forever grateful and may God forever bless our donor.

In the year 1984, the Late Bishop Phillip Ndungu Karanja, became the first Pastor of Outering Local Church. The church was known as Nairobi Gospel Church. Later Bishop Ndungu Karanja felt a call to join politics. The church allowed him and, Rev Christopher Wanyeki became the Second Pastor of the church but he later left to establish another local` church. Till then the Nairobi Gospel Church had no permanent building. It was at this juncture that the General Overseer of the Gospel Evangelistic Church Bishop Dr. Patrick G. Marai Mungai, felt a need to construct a permanent structure to cater for the Community.

On 25th March 2018, the General Overseer invited a group of Church officials for the dedication of the ground in preparation for the construction of a New Church. The following are the members of the team that dedicated the church ground;

5. Rev. Professor Mary Wangari Kuria, G.E.CK National Director of Intercessory Department.
6. Rev. Doctor Joyce Muthoni Gakobo, Member of Bishops Council, Nairobi Calvary Temple.

THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW CHURCH BUILDING
Architect James Kahare and Engineer Ken provided the plans and construction began in 2019. The Lord inspired a few to become providers for the construction of the church and His providing hand was upon them.

No fundraising was done throughout the construction. Every stone in the new sanctuary is woven in Prayer, Faith and the Word of God. The Lord, Jehova Jireh has done it, may He receive all the Glory.
The consecration planning team desired to honor the financiers of the building by putting a plaque next to the consecration plaque but this was suspended by the donors since this would divert the agenda from God to man.
The families that were instrumental in the construction of the Church would want to donate their effort to the Good God. This Lord who sees the Hearts of His people will Bless the giving.
The name of the New Church is Royal Calvary Temple International. This church is an instrument of Grace Given to Kenya, Africa and the world by God.
